A long and winding process has come to life, with Aldi, Incorporated’s move to build a new grocery store in Vincennes. The store will be built at 200 Kimmel Road, in the Kimmel Pointe area. Work is already underway on the site next to Marshalls in that area.
Developer Heath Klein is behind luring Aldi’s to Kimmel Ponte. He says the ink on the paper ends a decade-long process to get Aldi to Vincennes. He also thought he had Aldi committed to that piece of ground three to four years ago, but the deal wasn’t completed at that time.
Now that work is started, Klein expects it to be finished in a relatively short time period. Construction on the building itself will start next month, with a planned springtime opening for the new store.
Aldi’s may also not be the last business to locate in that area. Another brand-name corporation, which Klein refused to disclose, is also seriously considering a store in that same area. Nother official on the other possible company is in place yet at this time.
