Both North and South Knox teachers are in the classrooms starting today, with students returning to class tomorrow. With that, bus safety becomes a major area of concern for the start of the school year.
Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin reminds everyone one area has automatic sensors to detect stop arm violations. As for the buses themselves, Sheriff’s Department Major Mike Fisher says a good system is in place to make sure the buses are ready to roll tomorrow.
In addition to stop-arm safety reminders, law enforcement through the area also urge caution in watching for kids entering or exiting school buses each day.
