Work on the Washington Avenue project in Vincennes continues, with curb and base asphalt work underway. The curb and road work is some of the first real visible progress on the project.
Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague knows much of the last several months of work have been out of the public’s eye. Sprague says multiple layers of asphalt will be part of the road’s reconstruction.
The plan is to have enough base asphalt in place to allow for football traffic to reach Inman Field for the coming season.
