The 1972 Center on Old Wheatland Road in Vincennes will no longer open to the public. The group has also stopped offering birthday parties at this time. However, the building will continue its use for private rentals, coming community classes, and community meetings. It will also continue its usage by clients of parent organziation KCARC.
An official at 1972 told us the future use of the building is still being determined. We were also informed the building is getting renovated for whatever future use it could have in the future.
1972 officials will not rule out a possible return of the Center for public activities and birthday party rentals at a later time.
