The bulk of the paving work on Washington Avenue is being done in the first three days of this week. All but the final layer of the asphalt is being laid down through Wednesday. The Washington Avenue project covers the street from Emison Avenue northward toward Kelso Creek.
Crews got a jump on that asphalt work on Monday. Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague notes today and tomorrow will be the days for the next layers of paving to go down on that part of Washington Avenue.
The other work on that stretch of Washington Avenue concerns sidewalks, curbing, and curb ramps.
