The Knox County Council starts its 2025 session today with two days of hearing from department heads. After that, Council members will spend the final two days in actual 2025 budget setting.
Knox County Council president Rich Chattin says Council members have the projected budget forecast from consultant Reedy Financial. Chattin credits his fellow Council members, and department heads, for working with them to get the best budget they can for the County.
After Council finalizes the budget, it will go to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for final review and approval. Once that happens, the budget will take effect for 2025.
