Vincennes Budget Hearings Set for Tonight

The Vincennes City Council will meet later today and tonight to hear department requests for the 2025 budget. The session is the official start of the budget-writing session for next year.
Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove admits most years, the budget process starts earlier. Grove knows as in previous years, budget estimates show good numbers for the City’s departments for 2025.
Grove also expects the tax rate to remain steady. However, he knows rising assessed property values may lead to overall higher property tax bills.
