KC Commissioners Could Discuss Burn Ban Tonight

The Knox County Commissioners are holding out for at least a week on issuing a burn ban in the county. Some area counties are already under burn bans– including Martin County and Lawrence County, Illinois.
At a recent special Commissioners’ session, the decision was made to wait until the Commissioners’ regular session next week to consider a burn ban. The wait will allow them to analyze the effects of the remnants of Tropical Storm Francine. That weather system came into Vincennes late last week. However, continued hot and dry conditions could still play a factor.
