Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven (Van oh ven) says a student at Haubstadt Community School made verbal threats during the lunch hour Tuesday. Students went to the principal and with the assistance of the School Resource Officer the student was removed from the school.
Vanoven says the School Resource Officer is working with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the incident. He is also working with the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office and Juvenile Court to file charges and find placement at a juvenile facility
