The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says two people were arrested Sunday after a deputy spotted a wanted man entering a house in Bicknell.
A woman who answered the door, 47-year-old Melissa VanPatten of Bicknell, said the man ,41-year-old Lonnie Joe Haney, also from Bicknell, had already ran from the residence.
Deputies obtained a search warrant after she refused to let them search the residence.
They found Haney hiding in the basement.
Haney was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear for Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment.
VanPatten was also arrested on a misdemeanor charge of Assisting a Criminal Fugitive.
