The work on Phase One of the Washington Avenue project is drawing to a close, as the month continues to move by. The season-long work is improving Washington Avenue from Kelso Creek to Emison Avenue.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says most of the recent efforts has dealt with work on the avenue’s retaining wall. Mayor Yochum also expects the whole phase to wrap up by the end of the month, if all goes to plan.
A couple years after this is done, Washington Avenue Phase Two will get started. That phase will affect Washington Avenue from Emison Street up to and inlcluding its intersection with Saint Clair.
