The State soccer tournament got underway last night.
At the South Knox Boys Class A sectional…Northeast Dubois rolled past North Knox 16-0 while Rivet got past Washington Catholic 1-0. Those two winners will play in one semifinal on Wednesday. The other has the host Spartans playing Barr-Reeve.
Action continues today. At the Class 2-A Washington Girls Sectional, 6-7-1 Vincennes Lincoln plays
1-9 Southridge at seven.
Class A Girls sectional at Sullivan has 1-7-2 Bloomfield playing 3-9-2 North Knox at six.
And at the Class A Northeast Dubois Girls sectional, 8-4-1 South Knox meets 2-8-1 Washington Catholic at 5:30 while winless Shoals takes on 11-5 Forest Park at 7:30pm.
The Lincoln Tennis team takes on Jasper today at 5:30 in the opening round of the Jasper Regional. The other match up has Barr-Reeve
taking on Sullivan. The two winners will advance to the Regional Championship on Wednesday.
In High School volleyball action…
Vincennes Lincoln lost to Gibson Southern 3-2. Matti Collins led the Alices with 11 points, 18 digs and 21 assists. Kaya Farrar and Marlo Thorne each had ten kills. Lincoln won the
JV match 2-1. Emma Cunningham had 9 points, seven digs and eight assists.
North Knox downed Vincennes Rivet 3-0. For the Patriots, Mary Herman had 13 kills while Claudi Herman had 11
Service points and ten assists.
South Knox volleyball team beat North Daviess 3-0. Grace Carie had 10 points, 10 assists and 12 digs. Bren Hill added 15 kills. South Knox won the JV match 2-0. Maddie Short had 5 kills and ten digs.

Middle School Sports
The Clark Golf team captured the Middle School Golf County Cup at Cypress Hills. Clark won with a score of 177. Rivet was second at 192.
North Knox third at 195 and South Knox had a 196. William Holka of Rivet was medalist with a round of 40. Top finishers for Clark were Rylan Hunckler
Who shot a 41 while Austin Pinkstaff had a 44. Lane Singleton led North Knox with a 43.
The Clark 7th grade volleyball team lost to Barr-Reeve 2-0. Delaney Stafford had ten digs for Clark.
