The hiring shingle is still out at Vincennes Police headquarters for young men and women who wish to become City police officers.
Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand says an increase in school resource officers paved the way for more hew Police Department hires. However, Hillenbrand knows what it’s like to recruit new officers to fill the City police force.
Applicants will be required to take both a physical agility test, and a written test, before they can be considered for a spot on the City Police. Applications are available at City Police headquarters at 501 Busseron Street in Vincennes.
