Work is still being planned to rebuild the facade of the Lincoln Memorial Bridge in downtown Vincennes. That work is being overseen by the National Park Service, since the bridge is partly on the grounds of the George Rogers Clark National Park.
G-R-C chief ranger Joe Herron says even if it doesn’t look like it, work is happening on the bridge and its pieces– slowly. At this time, G-R-C officials hope for bridge work in the spring of next year. However, Herron warns the plan is under the control of the contractor.
Once the restoration work starts up, the bridge will likely close for that work, just like it did for the original work to take apart the facade for repairs.
