The National Weather Service warns the dry spell is expected to continue, possible into November. The next chance of rain is expected over the weekend, but it could be iffy at best.
The extremely dry conditions will heighten the area’s wildfire threat. N-W-S forecaster Aaron Updike says some possible windy conditions could also fan the flames. Updike also reminds everyone if you are looking for significant rain soon, you are probably out of luck.
The forecast calls for a chance of rain on Friday. However, at this time, the chance is sitting at 20 percent for this area.
