The City of Vincennes has renewed a three-year bond to purchase equipment for various City departments. Vincennes City Councli passed the bond re-issuance unanimously at last night’s session.
City Council president Brian Grove says this bond issue covers bonding for all City vehicle purchases, except for fire equipment. Grove also says the idea for the bonds is to plan out in advance what vehicles need to be replaced in each City department.
Various department heads can use the bond proceeds to replace vehicles that are nearing or at the end of their useful lives.
