Two-Car North Knox-Area Head-On Accident Kills One, Injures One

A Linton man was killed this morning in a two-vehicle accident on State Road 67 at Huey Road near Sandborn.
Around 6:30 am, a white F-150 pickup, driven by Aaron Cornelius of Montgomery, was hit by a Ford Focus operated by Matthew Sams of Linton. The head-on collision cost Sams his life; he was pronounced dead on the scene. Cornelius was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was taken into surgery earlier today (this morning).
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating the accident at this time.
