Partisan elected office-seekers had an easy night of it last night in Knox County, as none of them were opposed on Election Day.
In the Knox County Council race, Kevin Meyer will re-gain a seat on Council, along with incumbent Dan Reitmeyer, and newcomer Jon Hillenbrand. Hillenbrand and Meyer will take over for David Culp and Harry Nolting; both decided against a run for another term.
A new County Commissioner joins an incumbent Commissioner on the new Board for 2025. Tim Ellerman the Second will take the seat his father once occupied, in County Commissioner District Two. The other seat will be re-filled by incumbent T-J Brink. Both won contested May primaries; Ellerman unseated outgoing Commissioner Trent Hinkle, while Brink withstood a close race against Cher Wehrman.
Other incumbents back in office include Knox County Coroner Joe Millspaugh, and Knox County Treasurer Cendy Joslin. This is Millspaugh’s first full term in office; he was appointed to the position last year.
All office-honders will take their seasts in January of next year.
