In a two-one vote, the Knox County Commissioners have appointed T-J Brink as the new Commissioners’ president. Brink will take over for former president Kellie Streeter. In her comments, Streeter was willing to continue as president, but was out-voted by Brink and new Commissioner Tim Ellerman tne Second.
After that, Ellerman was voterd in as the Commissioners’ vice president. That appointment was approved unanimously.
The Commissioners also renewed the positions of significant appointees. Those reappointments include Drew Porter as County Attorney; Matt Holden as Highway Superintendent, and Barron Gilley as Maintenance Director. Further, Carter Luce will continue as Central Dispatch director. Finally, the three district highway foremen will stay in the spots; they include damon Owens, Shane McGregor, and Frank Worland. All those re-appointments were approved unanimously.
