The National Weather Service has confirmed 8 to 11 inches of snow fell from the winter storm system that hit the area Sunday morning into yesterday morning. National Weather Service forecaster Mike Ryan says eight inches was the standard amount, but some localized areas picked up more, For the day today—and the next couple of days—Ryan feels a decent breeze could cause at least a little bit of blowing snow.
Even with clearer conditions, colder temperatures could also mean a remaining snow pack. As a result, travelers are reminded to continue using caution—especially on secondary roads across the area.
