The Vincennes Redevelopment Commission heard an update on a planned future INDOT project on the Wabash Avenue overpass at State Road 61. At this time, INDOT officials have the project planned for the 2027 construction season.
Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague told the R-D-C City officials will also plan do some City-based repairs while the bridge decking is being replaced.
The bridge project will happen in the area of Franklin Elementary School. R-D-C Member and Vincennes City Councilman Marc McNeece suggested some City sidewalk work in that area while the bridge project is happening. McNeece also knows improved sidewalks in that area has been a request of nearby neighbors for a long while
