New Vincennes City fireman Eric Blann was sworn into his position yesterday by Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum. Blann is the newest in a recent line of public service officers installed on the City’s Police and Fire Departments.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says with Blann’s installation, both departments are very close to full staffing. Yochum also says both experienced and newly-minted officers are moving the Police Department numbers upward.
The new hires are also means both departments are getting younger, as newer public service officers fill open spaces in both departments.
