Cindy Kay Farrar, age 66, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Vincennes, IN. Born on June 17, 1958, in Lawrenceville, IL, Cindy lived a life marked by kindness, a caring spirit, and an enduring love for her family.
A proud graduate of Red Hill High School, Cindy dedicated many years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bridgeport Healthcare and Sumner Healthcare, where she touched the lives of many with her thoughtfulness and compassionate care. Her marriage to the love of her life, Harvey Daniel “Danny” Farrar, was a joyous union celebrated at Bridgeport Church.
Cindy’s life was filled with simple pleasures; her laughter was often heard while spending time with family and friends. She found tranquility in the melodies of country music, took delight in the adventures of camping, and cherished attending classic cars at shows.
Remembering her loving nature are her beloved daughter, Christina Wright of Vincennes, IN; her sister, Essie Jones of Lawrenceville, IL; and her stepsister, Ruby Jones, also of Lawrenceville, IL. Cindy’s legacy of love extends beyond her immediate family, leaving a void in the hearts of countless friends and community members.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Farrar; her granddaughter, Hannah Danielle Farrar; her parents, Max Jones and Norma Jean Wells; and her stepsister, Gladys Jones.
Her life, a testament to her kindness and thoughtful spirit, will continue to inspire those who knew her. Cindy Kay Farrar will be deeply missed, yet her memory will forever be treasured as a guiding light of love and devotion.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at 1:00 pm (EST) at Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery, 7194 Shiloh Ln. Bridgeport, IL 62417.
