SR 441 Prep Work Starts This Week, Toward Major Changes Later This Year

Alternating lane closures are coming into place this week and next week for parts of State Road 441. The highway is primarily in and around Vincennes, stretching from U-S 41 to the Memorial Bridge in downtown Vincennes.
The first work will be coring. This week, it will affect Sixth and Vigo Strets. After that, it will stretch to Sixth and Willow. That work continues through Friday, weather permitting. After that, starting Monday, March tenth, it will affect Willow Street from Sixth Street to Emison Street.
The coring work is to prepare thiat area for repaving and re-shaping work to come this construction season. Drivers are reminded to be aware of the coming alternating lane closures.
