Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has updated work on a couple of state-funded projects in the City itself.
The first is upcoming work on Main Street downtown. Mayor Yochum expects the project affecting that part of Main Street to be complete by the end of June.
That project will be completed as part of the City’s funding through the Community Crossings Matching Grant–or C-C-M-G. The other big effort is continuing work on Washington Avenue. This time, the work will affect Washington Avenue from Emison to Saint Clair. Yochum says that one is in the utility coordination phase right now.
The main period for that work on Washington Avenue will start around a year from now—in the spring of 2026.
