The Vincennes Community School Board approved use of just under 18-thousand dollars for various technology upgrades, under their E-Rate plan. The money will pay for network upgrades at Lincoln High School, along with funding to replace various seven year-old cables and other hardware. The hardware changes would increase speeds and bandwidth for L-H-S students and faculty alike.
The total bid, as submitted in December of last year, was 88-thousand, 642 dollars. The Corporation’s partner company, E-Rate, would cover 80 percent of the total cost, leaving the school with the just under 18-thosuand dollar difference. The Board approved the plan unanimously.
