Federal Bill Under Consideration to Mandate Hospital Testing for Fentanyl

 Republican Senator Jim Banks of Indiana and Democratic Senator Alex Padilla of California are trying to get fentanyl testing in hospitals.
      They have reintroduced a bill that would include fentanyl in standard tests in hospital emergency rooms across the U.S.
      Right now hospitals have standard tests for a handful of other drugs including marijuana and cocaine but not fentanyl.
      There are some states that mandate it.
