The Indiana House has approved a bill to require Medicaid recipients to work or volunteer 20-hours a week.
The bill does have exceptions for the disabled and caregivers. Pass
Republican Representative Brad Barrett of Richmond is the sponsor of the bill and says Medicaid is the state’s fastest-growing expenditure and steps need to be taken to limit enrollment so it can be provided to the neediest Hoosiers.
