River flooding in the area continues to decrease, and same places are at or below flood level at this time.
Only two river locations are reporting major flooding at this time. The White River at Petersburg is still at 25 feet—nine above flood stage. The river will keep dropping there, with a drop back to bankfull forecast for Saturda. The Wabash River at Mount Carmel is making a slow fall as well; it is expected back to flood stage on Sunday The Wabash at Vincennes, and the White at Edwardsport, are both expected to be back below flood stage sometime tomorrow.
Those in low-lying areas are reminded to keep flood control tactics in place at least for the next few days.
