Last week, residents across Indiana faced an obstacle course of closed roads and highways, due to flooding. Starting tonight into tomorrow, heavy rains are again possible through the Easter weekend.
Higher rivers are again possible, as the area could get 2 to 3 more inches of rain through Monday. That means sandbags may have to be re-issued. Knox County Commissioners’ president T-J Brink also works with INDOT; he says in the last flood event, he and other workers were busy getting sandbags ready. Brink reminds everyone in case things get bad this time around, there are some sandbags available.
Those sandbags will be pre-filled. However, the loading and toting of the sandbags to affected areas will be up to those needing the sandbags for their property.
