The Indiana Department of Transportation is starting its work on repairs to State Road 441 through Vincennes. The work right now is on part of Sixth Street; after that, it will move from there to Willow Street.
INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says the weather has caused a bit of a delay to their work on Sixth Street. Bryan reminds everyone to take a bit of extra time this summer when traveling through southern Vincennes in the Willow Street corridor.
The biggest part of the Willow Street work is cutting much of it from four lanes down to two laines, with a left turn lane in the center. After completion, Willow Street will look much like Hart Street from 15th to Veterans Memorial Drive.
