The driver of a Washington Catholic school bus was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangerment Monday morning after his bus got stuck in the mud in the median at US 50 and County Road 300 West in Washington.
Authorities say Steven Truelove of Washington was driving a school bus owned by the Diocese of Evansville Catholic Church and being used for a field trip for Washington Catholic Schools. It was determined that his blood alcohol level was .221, over two and a half times the legal limit.
38 children and four adults were safely removed from the school bus.
There were no injuries.
