Evansville North’s Brayton Perry pitched a perfect game, as the North Huskies defeated the Vincennes Lincoln Alices 4-0 at Hill Field. Perry had eight strikeouts in the game. Colton Wonning took the loss, giving up four runs over six innings pitched.
LHS is 13-4 on the season; they are back in action with a JV/Varsity doubleheaders this evening at Princeton. The varsity game is expected to start somewhere around 7:30 tonight at Gil Hodges Field in Princeton.
The Rivet Patriots shut out Linton 20 at Saint Vincent Field yesterday. Rivet’s Brody Shots had a one-hitter for the Patriots, and only faced one batter over the minimum through seven innings. Rivet next heads to Lawrenceville on Thursday.
The North Knox Warriors picked up a home win last night with a 4-3 comeback won over North Daviess. The Warriors were down 3-0 after five, but came back with three in the sixth, and the game-winning hit in the seventh. Rylen Oxby got the win for the Warriors, while striking out six.
In track the Clark Middle School boys team won a doal meet over over Pike Central 82-45. Alice winners were Roman Lowe and Braylen Sanders in two events, with Bryson Roberts, Ray Sommerville, and Gibson Greer winning one event each. Also, the C-M-S 400 and 32-hundred relay teams were winners.
The North Knox Girls won a quad home meet last night vs. Barr-Reeve, South Knox, and North Daviess.
