New State Budget Signed Into Law

      Indiana Governor Mike Braun has signed the state’s new two-year, 44-billion-dollar budget into law.
      Braun received the budget bills April 29th, which was the last day of the legislative session in Indianapolis.
      He called it a “balanced, responsible biennial budget that protects Indiana’s strong fiscal foundation while investing in our future.”
      The budget raises cigarette taxes, cuts public health funding by 60%, and cuts higher education spending by 5%.
