Vi9ncennes University’s baseball season will continue on, after a comeback win in the District 24 Region championship. The Blazers defeated Lincoln Land Community College twice, 6-4 and 14-8 to win the title. The Blazers lost their opener to Lincoln Land as part of the double-elimination tournament.
This is the Blazers’ first District 24 title, and first overall since 2014. That year, they advanced to the NJCAA Division Two College World Series. Next up is a Central Distric Championship; that will happen this Thursday through Saturday in Missouri.
Vincennes Lincoln track athlete McKenna Poyser will join her LHS teammate Greer Hardin in signing a track letter of intent to attend Vincennes University. Poyser will have a signing ceremony at three-14 today in the lobby of Alice Arean. Hardin signed her letter of intent at a ceremony last Friday.
