The North Knox School Board has approved a donation from the United Way of Knox County. The group has given nearly 24-hundred dollars to the Corporation for the North Knox Jump Start program. That program is a summer-based initiative to get new students ready for kindergarten.
The Board also approved special education based measures. The first approved their part of a joint budget for the Knox County Special Education cooperative. The other approved their part of an agreement between the co-op and KCARC.
Finally, The Board approved renewed bonds for four position holders. The bonds are for the Corporation Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer, the Extra-Corricular Activities Treasurer, and the Food Service supervisor. All of the bonds were approved unanimously.
