The Vincennes Lincoln baseball team lost 4-1 to the Gibson Southern Titans on the road yesterday. Landon Johnson led the way with two hits for the Alices, with Brady Anderson driving in the only LHS run. Justice Johnson took the loss on the mount for the Alices. Vincennes Lincoln is back in action tomorrow with two games at Mount Vernon, as they face Boonville and the homestanding Wildcats.
The Vincennes Rivet Patriots scored in every inning, as they defeated the Dugger Union Bulldogs 9-1. Brady Morron and Miles Holka led the Patriots with three hits each, while Nash Ransom leading with four runs batted in. Hunter Biskie was got the win on the mound for the Patriots.
The Vincennes Lady Alice softballers lost their last regular season game as they fall to Evansville Reitz 11-6. Grace Archer and Matti Collins had three hits apiece. Archer added a home run, as Collins drove in three runs. Miley Carie-Fredrick added two hits and a triple, and a double out of Hailie Greentree. The Lady Alices end the regular season at 12-13; they open tournament play against either Princeton or Gibson Southern on Tueaday night at 8 pm.
The Washington Hatchets took the Vincennes tennis sectional with a 3-2 win over South Knox. Reagan Harrington won at Number 2 singles, with the doubles team of Caroline Beard and Grace Carie winning for the Spartans. The Lady Spartans end their season at 18-3. Washington’s winners were Lacy Hancock at Number 1 singles, Sophia Hill at Number 3 singles, and Brooklyn Whitehead and Ella Williams at Number 2 doubles.
