A perfect Saturday and a cool, drizzly Sunday greeted Rendezvous visitors over the weekend in downtown Vincennes. The 48th annual Colonial remembrance brought tens of thousands to the French Commons over the weekend.
The event is sponsored each year by Spirit of Vincennes, Incorporated. Mark Hill is with Spirit of Vincennes; he says an ideal Saturday and good advance sales especially helped.
With the pleasant weather—especially on Saturday—both merchants and food booth operators did extremely well. Hill lets us know how good the food sales were this year.
The food booth sales will go directly back to local service groups, since the food stalls themselves were worked by Knox County-based non-profits.
