Two respected members of the Vincennes University leadership team are moving on—one retiring, and one moving into a college presidency.
V-U Provist Lauren Treanor has been named the new president of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke. Treanor will end a seven-year tenure at V-U with that promotion. She started as Provost, and was later also named Dean of Faculty at the University. She was honored for her innovations—including the Leadership Lunch and Learn, and the Trailblazer Teaching Academy. Jaci Lederman will become the Interim Provost, taking Treanor’s plase in that post.
University Chief Financial Officer Tim Eaton is retiring at the end of June. Eaton ends 36 years of service to V-U with his retirement. He will be replaced by Conya Wampler as V-U’s Chief Financial Officer. Travis Linnewebber, will serve jointly as Assistant Vice-President of Financial Services. Linnewebber is currently the University’s Budget Director.
