The Vincennes Community School Board has approved bids to replace both its chiller and sprinkler systems at Lincoln High School.
H-G Heinz took the chiller replacement contract, with a bid of 860-thousand dollars. Heinz had one of four bids for the chiller; the next lowest was for 881-thousand dollars.
Wolfe Construction took the sprinkler system bid, at just over 1.1 million dollars. The bid was slightly less than another bid by Seuftert (SEE-furt) Construction. Both bids were significantly under the engineer’s cost estimate for the two replacements.
Both bids were approved unanimously.
