Vincennes Board of Works Awards Street Department Truck Bid

The Vincennes Board of Works has approved the purchase of a new Street Department truck for use as a garbage collector and snowplow. Two companies– Vincennes’ Vo-Mac and Jasper’s Ruxer Ford—submitted bids.
Vo-Mac had the low bid, at just under 135-thousnd, 300 dollars. Ruxer’s bid was just under 138-thousand, 500 dollars. Vo-Mac officials told the Board the truck can be ready for use in a couple of weeks, after it has been fitted for an optional snowplow, as needed.
Board members awarded the bid to Vo-Mac unanimously.
