Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague has laid out plans for a future reconstruction of Richard Bauer Drive. In his appearance before the Vincennes Redevelopment Commission, Sprague laid out a plan with road work curb and gutter work, and an eight-foot path along the redone roadway.
The project is being targeted for funding as part of second round of the Community Crossing Matching Grant program, or C-C-M-G. If it is funded by the state of Indiana is that found, Sprague gives a tentative timetable for its completion as being in 2026 to 2027.
Sprague also updated coming work on coming improvements to Wabash Avenue. If the Bauer Drive project is started on time, Sprague believes it may delay local work at Wabash Avenue near the U-S 41 overpass.
