The Knox County Public Library is supporting a program to attract monarch butterflies to its courtyard near Seventh and Hart in Vincennes. The plan is toi plant native species to help attract the monarchs and other native species.
This work is being done through a grant to a group of area master gardners. Knox County Public Library director Emily Bunyan believes the courtyard plantings are a great way to get the butterflies to stop on the Library’s grounds.
The plantings are happening now. No timetable has been announced for when the work will be complete.
