The Good Samaritan Hospital Board of Governors has approved two purchases for needed hospital equipment.
The first was a budgeted, nearly 590-thousan dollar flex pod refresh unit for the G-S-H Data Center. The price came in well under budget, since the Hospital had set aside a million dollars for that purchase.
Also, the Hospital Board agreed to upgrade all of its Draeger patient vitals monitors. The monitors needed replacement, since they were over 15 years old and at the end of their normal usage life. Board members did not give the price for the non-budgeted item, but approved it and the data center purchase unanimously.
