RISE Peer Recovery has been awarded $29,936 from United Way of Daviess County to support Peer Recovery Coaches in providing temporary housing for individuals entering or already in treatment.
Zella Taylor, CEO/Executive Director of United Way of Daviess County says one of the biggest barriers to recovery is the lack of stable housing during treatment.
She says a night or weekend in a hotel isn’t enough to rebuild a life or a future.
While in this safe space, Peer Recovery Coaches will work closely with each client to develop personalized recovery plans and identify long-term, sustainable housing solutions.
