A Princeton couple received a combined 14 year sentence in federal prison following their guilty pleas on mail fraud charges. Michael Wright and Courtney Young were sentenced earlier this week in federal court in Evansville. Wright will serve 12 years, with Young two years, on the charges. Young was tied into the cased as Wright’s getaway driver on at least two occasions.
The incidents dated back to at least April of 2023, with more investigations done in March and April of last year. As part of a search of Wright’s Princeton apartment, investigators found stolen checks with a value of over 1.85 million dollars. They also found handguns under a mattress in his bedroom. A further check also found stolen at least 30 stolen debit and credit cards, and the names and information of three other people.
Both Wright and Young will serve three years of supervised release, following the end of their sentences.
