Knox County Clerk David Shelton says that due to the death of Tom Culp, a vacancy now exists on the Decker Town Board.
Interested Republicans may submit a letter of interest for appointment for the remainder of the term, which will expire on December 31st, 2027.
To be considered for appointment, the applicant must be a Republican in good standing and must have been registered to vote in Decker for at least one year.
Letters of interest may be submitted to the Knox County Republican Chairman, David Shelton, at dshelton.knox.gop@gmail.com.
Letters of interest must be received by 5:00 pm this Thursday.
The appointment will be made directly by the Knox County Republican Chairman. That will take place at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 20th.
