The Vincennes Community School Board has approved Wolfe Construction’s bid as part of Phase One of a planned three-phase schools renovation. The first phase includes re-doing doors at Lincoln High School; railing for Alice Arena, and façade work at the Washington Learning Academy.
Wolfe had the lowest and considered best bid of just over 906-thousand dollars. Other project bids were submitted by both Ellerman Construction, and Seufert Construction. Wolfe’s bid also came in under budget; that allowed for various alternates to be accepted. The base bid came to just over 740-thousand dollars; the added work includes additional doors, some painting, and added Washington Learning Academy façade work.
Board members approved the winning bid unanimously.
