Vincennes Board of Works Considers Three Sidewalk Bids for Hart Street

The Vincennes Board of Works has taken three bids under advisement for planned work for the Hart Street sidewalk project. The plan is the place new sidewalk along Hart Street from near 15th Street to Veterans’ memorial Drive. That will combine with planned Indiana Department of Transportation work from there toward the U-S 41 overpass on Hart Street.

Myers Contracting had the low bid, at just over 286-thousand, 700 dollars. Kerns Excavating was next, at just under 306-thousand dollars, with Hendrixson Concrete coming in at over 438-thousand dollars. The bids will now be reviewed by Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague, for possible award later in the month.
