Bicknell Work on Infrastructure Continues

Work continues to improve Bicknell’s infrastructure as part of the city’s C-C-M-G funded projects. The latest work has involved improvements for Freelandville Avenue, Dant Boulevard, and Thomas Street. Further, curb and sidewalk work, and driveway approach improvements, are happening on South Main Street.
Next week, crews will tear down and clean up the former D and B gas station property. That will involve the removal of all structures and concrete; the underground gas tanks will be taken away in August. The City of Bicknell recently purchased that land; both the acquisition and cleanup were funded by the Knox County Redevelopment Commission.
